Corepoint Health Achieves ONC-ATCB Modular EHR Certification by Drummond Group

Corepoint Integration Engine continues to lead the industry as the first interface engine certified for Modular Ambulatory EHR and Modular Inpatient EHR

Frisco, Texas – May 4, 2011 – Corepoint Health, a leader in healthcare integration software, has announced that Corepoint Integration Engine has received Modular Ambulatory EHR and Modular Inpatient EHR certification. Tested and certified by Drummond Group under the Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the integration engine software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

“Meaningful Use and EHR adoption are transforming health care and driving several significant health IT projects. In the middle of this is having the capability to exchange patient data in an effective, efficient, and secure manner,” said Phil Guy, CEO, Corepoint Health. “This certification enables our customers to be confident that their healthcare data exchange initiatives are supported by an integration engine which has successfully passed the defined criteria, an essential element to achieve Meaningful Use and qualify for incentive funds under ARRA.”

"Guy continued, “Corepoint Integration Engine continues to lead the way in delivering an approach which simplifies the complexities of healthcare integration while providing technology which can robustly meet the increased demands of this new era of interoperability.”

Drummond Group’s ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHRs, and software that interacts with EHRs, meet the Meaningful Use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating Meaningful Use of the technology – a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of electronic health records by U.S. healthcare providers.
