Corepoint is a healthcare integration engine that offers a simplified approach to interoperability for hospitals, radiology centers, laboratories, and clinics. Equipped with powerful, native features and built-in safeguards and securities, Corepoint scales seamlessly as healthcare organizations evolve and grow.
The latest release of the industry-leading solution, Corepoint 7.3, focuses on helping users to work efficiently while keeping pace with the advancement of interoperability standards. It also incorporates an important security update: the removal of Adobe Flash from the Corepoint Community Exchange Server.
Corepoint 7.3 includes support for the first normative version of FHIR: HL7 FHIR R4. This is a critical milestone as it means the normative parts of the standard have become backwards compatible, mitigating the risk of non-conformance. This assures developers that their solutions will continue to work as FHIR evolves, eliminating the need to revise their FHIR solutions or rewrite code.
This much-requested feature allows users to save time by streamlining the creation and deployment of interfaces. The Action List Debugger automatically keeps track of changes within an action list, where previously users had to invest time in manual processes, such as creating additional lines in the action list for debugging purposes. The Action List Debugger is an efficient way to debug and test interface solutions, saving valuable time and making work easier.
The Community Exchange has undergone a complete redesign and has moved away from the legacy Flash-based framework, and modernizing on HTML5. Adopting HTML5 requires less CPU time to render web pages, and it is supported by all browsers natively. Corepoint 7.3 also brings performance improvements, for both remote sites and the Community Exchange server.
As always, we recommend you upgrade to version 7.3 to keep your production use of Corepoint Integration Engine current. Please run the Pre-Install Upgrade Checker tool prior to upgrading. The tool, along with recommended steps for upgrading, is available at the link below.
